Dongtujinhe Fm
Type Locality and Naming
The type section is located at Dongtujinhe (44°15′20″N, 82°24′20″E), Ili, Xinjiang. It was named by Wu Naiyuan in 1981.
Lithology and Thickness
Limestone and Siltstone. It is composed of a suite of marine carbonate rocks and clastic rocks. Gray to black-gray limestone and marble, intercalated with siltstone, sandstone, slate, shale and conglomerate, exposed thickness 1300−1400 m. Regional distribution of the formation is quite stable, and variation of the thickness is not great.

Unconformably overlapping the Hanjiga Fm or Akeshak Fm
Upper contact
Regional extent
Distributed at Boluohuolo Mt., Hanjiga Mt., and the south slope of Junggaratao Mt., in a NW-SE extension.

Fusulinids Fusulina aminodiscus, Schbubertella obscra, Fusulinella aljutovella and Prosusulinella; corals Chaetetes luinchoi, Cystophora sp., Sinopora sp. and Patalaxis sp.; Brachiopods Dictyoclostus taldybnlamensis, Choristites transversus and Echinoconchus punctatus, as well as bryozoans, bivalves, gastropods, trilobites, Ammonoids, phytoclasts, etc.
